Organizing my Bookshelves

Hi there readers!

Lately, I have seen so many different beautiful bookshelves, and last night, looking at my books, I realised that I did not like the way they were organized. It was time for a change.

- BEFORE -

- AFTER -

For years now, I have sorted my books alphabetically, and while this may not seem like a radical change to the eye, it is and I love the new look! It looks so much cleaner than before. It is now sorted in a mixture of color and genre, and the two lowest shelves to the right and left are sorted by height. For someone else it might be difficult to find what they're looking for, but I know all of the books anyway and their place on the shelves so this works great for me. So happy!

What do you think? How do you sort your bookshelf? :)

Book Haul: Helsingborg

This weekend, me and my family went down to visit the town of Helsingborg in the southern parts of Sweden, to celebrate that my sister graduated earlier this year (congrats, sis!). It was a cozy weekend and on our last day we went by a Book Outlet store in the outskirts of town.

These are the beauties I walked out with! I am very happy with my purchases - they are not the kind of books that I would have spent money on in other cases, but that I still will enjoy reading and having on my shelf. And they were so cheap!

THE BOOKS (WITH LINKS):

The Witch of Portobello by Paulo Coelho | Goodreads | BookDepository
Brida by Paulo Coelho | Goodreads | BookDepository
Greek Literature: Poems and Prose by Lennart Breitholtz (Swedish) - Goodreads | Adlibris
Roman Literature: Poems and Prose by Gustav Karlsson (Swedish) - Goodreads | Adlibris

Since I read The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, I have been wanting to read something else by him, so I am superexcited with both Brida and The Witch from Portobello! I am also very interested in ancient times but haven't read anything from either the Roman Empire or the Greek ancient world, and these books have chosen classical pieces from each era, which I hope will give me some kind of feeling for the lit back then. Unfortunatly, those books haven't been translated to english from what I can find :(

As you can see, I also got myself a pencil for calligraphy with ink down in Helsingborg. It's so beautiful I just had to buy it. And now I'm walking on clouds!

Have you read any of these books? What did you think?

Late night writing

Word, space, words, ideas, the clicking sound of my fingers on the keys... And biscuits. Yeah, it's definitely a writing night. Other souls out there in their fictive worlds tonight?
